Pangang Titanium dioxide
Introduction – What is Titanium dioxide?
Titanium dioxide, also known as titanium(IV) oxide, is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula TiO2. When used as a pigment, it is called titanium white, Pigment White 6 (PW6), or CI 77891.
Panang Introduction
Panzhihua Iron and Steel Vanadium Titanium(also know as Pangang) has mastered the advanced technology of the chloride method, and it is expected that the subsequent production capacity of titanium dioxide will increase by 26% to 295,000 tons. After years of technical research and development, the company has mastered two technical routes of titanium dioxide chloride, such as “molten salt chlorination + oxidation” and “blast furnace slag extraction of titanium + oxidation” for secondary resource utilization of blast furnace slag. Currently, a 60,000 tons/year molten salt chlorination titanium dioxide project has started. After completion, the total production capacity is expected to reach 295,000 tons, and the market share is expected to further increase by then.
On July 12, 2022, Panzhihua Iron and Steel Vanadium and Titanium (000629.SZ) stated at an exchange meeting with investors that the company currently has a production capacity of 40,000 tons/year of vanadium products (calculated as V2O5), and 22 million tons of sulfuric acid titanium dioxide. 10,000 tons/year and 15,000 tons/year production capacity of titanium dioxide by chloride method.
