Additives for LDPE

Introduction of LDPE

LDPE is an abbreviation of Low-density polyethylene (LDPE) is a thermoplastic made of the monomer ethylene.

LDPE is used in the production of plastic film for packaging, mulch and greenhouse film for agriculture.

The processing temperature of the LDPE range is 160-220℃.

Baoxu Additives for LDPE

Baoxu Chemical Supply Antioxidants, Colorants, flame-retardants, Heat Stabilizers, Impact Modifiers, Lubricants, Nucleating Agents, OBAs, and UV Stabilizers for LDPE plastics.  We Simply Plastic Compounding.

Antioxidant for LDPE

Polymer antioxidants can be added to improve the shelf life of the product or to improve its high-temperature stability. while adding a stability margin during thermal processing. Antioxidant BX AO 1010, BX AO 1076, BX AO 168 is used a general-purpose Antioxidant for LDPE plastics.

Compatibilizer & Impact Modifiers for LDPE

Impact Modifiers are substances that increase the durability of molded or extruded plastics, especially those that need to be constantly subjected to impact forces like cold weather. They are added to compounded materials to provide performance features. They provide strength and break resistance to the product for which they are added. They also provide rigidity to the product to prevent it from wrapping or sagging during everyday use. POE and PE-G-MAH are used for LDPE as impact modifiers. Baoxu Chemical offer impact modifier for LDPE as table below

Flame Retardant for LDPE

Combustion could occur when a substance is heated to its flammable temperature in the presence of oxygen. Flame retardants are generally designed to provide a particular level of resistance to ignition or flame spread. This is achieved by suppressing oxygen availability, building up of char at the surface, inhibiting the combustion reaction within the flame area, or by other mechanics.

BX FR MCA is often used as a halogen-free flame retardant for LDPE.

Lubricant for LDPE

Lubricants are a kind of additive used to improve the processing and appearance of polymers. The function of lubricants is to reduce friction, improve fluidity and mold release during resin or compound processing, and increase the surface smoothness of products. EBS, PE Wax, PPA, Erucamide, Oleamide can be used as lubricant for LDPE.

Optical Brightener for LDPE

Optical brighteners are used to mask yellow or increase the whiteness of plastics, inks, coatings, paper, and fiber. OB and KSN can be used in LDPE as optical brighteners.

UV Stabilizer for LDPE

UV stabilizers contain two types of light stabilizers: Ultraviolet Light Absorbers (UVA) and Hindered-Amine Light Stabilizers (HALS), used individually or as blends. UVA filters harmful UV light and helps prevent color change and delamination of coatings, adhesives, and sealants. HALS trap free radicals once they are formed and are effective in retaining surface properties such as gloss and preventing cracking and chalking of paints. The combination of these two families is highly synergistic. UV absorber BX UV 329. BX UV 326, BX UV 531 used together with HALS BX UV 770, BX UV 944, BX UV 783, BX UV 2020 can be used in LDPE as UV Stabilizer Additives.
