Introduction – What is Titanium dioxide?

Titanium dioxide, also known as titanium(IV) oxide, is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula TiO₂. When used as a pigment, it is called titanium white, Pigment White 6 (PW6), or CI 77891.

As of the first half of 2022, the total production capacity of LB group titanium dioxide will reach 1.11 million tons per year. In the third quarter, the company’s annual output of 200,000 tons of chloride titanium dioxide production line construction project (the first line of 100,000 tons per year) has been completed and successfully tested. Production, the second 100,000 tons/year production line is expected to be completed and put into operation by the end of the year. At the same time, the first phase of the company’s 400,000-ton annual synthetic rutile project in Jinchang, Gansu Province (annual output of 200,000 tons/year) will be completed and put into operation at the end of the year. After the above projects are completed and put into operation, the company’s titanium dioxide production capacity will reach 1.51 million tons/year. It will take some time for the titanium dioxide production line to be completed and put into operation, trial production, formal production, and release of production capacity. The company expects that the output of titanium dioxide will exceed 1 million tons in 2022 and reach about 1.3 million tons in 2023.
