Tinuvin 866 is typically used at levels between 0.1% and 2.0% depending on the substrate and processing conditions. UV 866 can be used alone or in combination with other functional additives such as antioxidants, drugs (hindered phenols, phosphites) and HALS light stabilizers, often synergistic performance is observed. Application field
UV 866 provides excellent UV stability for polyurethane systems. The increased potency compared to conventional UV stabilizer systems is particularly pronounced in clear or light-colored TPU applications. UV 866 can also be used on other polymers such as polyamides as well as other engineering plastics including aliphatic polyketones, styrene homopolymers as well as copolymers, elastomers, TPE, TPV and epoxy resins as well as polyolefins and other organic substrates.
